Karnika Mandal Takes on Challenging Dual Role in Historical Film ‘Yana’

New Delhi [India], August 17: South Indian actress Karnika Mandal is steadily making her mark across the Indian film industry with her versatile performances and distinctive screen presence. After appearing in Bollywood projects including Love is Forever, Shubh Ratri, Hathauda Singh and Bhabhi Mil Gayi Yaar, the actress is now attracting attention for her upcoming historical film ‘Yana’.

Set against the backdrop of 1840, ‘Yana’ features Karnika in a challenging dual role for the first time. She portrays both a mother and her daughter, requiring her to bring two distinctly different characters to life. Her performance has reportedly received appreciation from several members of the film industry.

Produced under the banner of Soft Touch Entertainment and directed by R. Prajapati, the film also features a talented ensemble cast. Prominent actors including Jagapathi Babu, Suman Talwar and Makarand Deshpande have praised Karnika’s acting abilities and extended their best wishes for her future projects.

Following ‘Yana’, Karnika reportedly has several projects in the pipeline. She has also signed an upcoming Malayalam film opposite Dulquer Salmaan, son of veteran actor Mammootty.

The Malayalam project will reportedly showcase Karnika in a completely new avatar. Known largely for her traditional Indian looks, she is set to embrace a Western-inspired look for the first time.

With a series of promising projects ahead, Karnika Mandal appears poised to strengthen her presence across both South Indian cinema and the wider national film industry.
