PM Modi Reveals Development Projects in Bikaner Worth ₹26,000 Crore.

Bikaner (Rajasthan) [India], May 22: During a significant mission to Rajasthan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started, dedicated, and opened development projects in Bikaner worth ₹26,000 crore.

Prime Minister Modi highlighted India’s rapid progress in infrastructure, clean energy, railway modernisation, and national security while speaking to a large crowd, including dignitaries from 18 states and union territories.

Unprecedented Investment in Bikaner, Rajasthan

PM Modi described the ceremony as a historic milestone towards establishing a Viksit Bharat, meaning outstanding change in roads, railways, airports, and renewable energy. “In the last 11 years, work has been done at a pace never before to develop modern infrastructure,” he added.

The prime minister revealed some good news while discussing India’s increased emphasis on infrastructure: the country is now spending six times as much on development as it did previously! He cited ground-breaking initiatives demonstrating India’s remarkable technological breakthroughs in various settings, such as the Chenab Bridge, the Sela Tunnel, and the Atal Setu.

Rajasthan is among the biggest gainers of this spurt, with nearly ₹70,000 crore having been invested in road infrastructure over the past 10 years and another ₹10,000 crore for railway development this year. The state’s connectivity will soar with the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and the Amritsar-Jamnagar Economic Corridor.

Railway Modernisation and Cultural Integration

One of the highlights of PM Modi’s address was the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, the first-of-its-kind scheme in which 103 revamped stations in 86 districts were inaugurated. One of them is the Deshnoke station in Rajasthan, which was built using a temple architecture design to honour local heritage.

The scheme has been a significant step towards modernising Indian rail, improving travel conditions and promoting local tourism. The railway industry has made tremendous functional improvements, coupled with cosmetic improvements, like electrifying the track over more than 1,000 km and improving freight efficiency using specialised freight corridors.

Power Projects and Green Energy Transition

Prime Minister Modi aimed to increase energy self-reliance by launching transmission lines and solar projects in Bikaner, Neemuch, and Udaipur. Over 40,000 homes in Rajasthan have benefited from the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, which has enabled people to earn money from solar energy and lowered electricity expenses.

Operation Sindoor: India’s Strong Stance Against Terrorism

On the security front, the Prime Minister spoke emotionally about the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, asserting that India responded with decisive force through Operation Sindoor, which targeted and destroyed nine terrorist bases in under 22 minutes.

“Our Government gave a free hand to the three Armed Forces, and together they created such a ‘Chakravyuh’ that Pakistan was forced to kneel,” he declared. Stressing India’s new anti-terror doctrine, PM Modi outlined three principles: swift retaliation, immunity from nuclear blackmail, and no distinction between terrorist groups and state sponsors.

Additionally, he reaffirmed that commerce and communication with Pakistan are off the table, emphasising that the main topic of conversation would be Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.  India’s dedication to its national security and the welfare of its inhabitants is demonstrated by this position, which is a reaction to Pakistan’s ongoing support for terrorism.

Focus on Youth, Industry, and Heritage

Bikaner and its surrounding areas are poised to experience significant industrial and economic enhancements, particularly within the food processing sector, facilitated by the global branding of Bikaneri Bhujia and Rasgullas. It is projected that the refinery project in Rajasthan and the construction of new industrial corridors would make the state a major centre for logistics and petroleum-based businesses. PM Modi sent a strong message as he wrapped up his speech:

“Swear by this soil, I will not let the country fall, I will not let the country bow.”

After the military intervention, his initial rally in Bikaner underscored the government’s dual commitment to national security and inclusive development, reinforcing India’s emergence as a confident global power.
