On the New Year, a Sea of Devotees at Khatu Shyam Delhi Dham in Alipur; Over 20 Lakh Offer Darshan

New Delhi [India], January 2: On the occasion of the New Year, a massive crowd of devotees gathered at Khatu Shyam Delhi Dham in Alipur, Delhi. The entire temple complex and surrounding areas resonated with chants of “Jai Shri Shyam.” According to estimates, more than 20 lakh devotees offered darshan to Shyam Baba, with the scale of the gathering drawing comparisons to the Kumbh Mela.

Ghanshyam Gupta Javeri, National President of Khatu Shyam Delhi Dham, stated that long queues for darshan had formed from the early hours of New Year’s Day. The atmosphere was steeped in devotion, echoing continuously with chants in praise of Shyam Baba.

He further shared that Khatu Shyam Delhi Dham, often described by devotees as a wonder of the world, witnessed queues stretching 4 to 5 kilometres as soon as people stepped into 2026. Despite the overwhelming crowd, devotees displayed remarkable enthusiasm and unwavering faith.

Darshan commenced as early as 1:00 a.m., and even at that hour, the surroundings reverberated with “Jai Jai Shyam.” Devotee lines were seen extending up to 6 kilometres. Throughout the event, discipline and devotion prevailed, as devotees welcomed the New Year by offering themselves at the feet of Shyam Baba.

On this occasion, the endeavour was led by S.S. Agarwal, Satyabhushan Jain, National Senior Vice President Hariom Goyal, National General Secretary Sanjeev Kumar Mittal, National General Secretary Ramesh Gupta, National General Secretary Pawan Singh, Madhu Gopal Goyal, Anil Gupta, and Naveen Garg.
