Craftroots and IDT organise grand artisanal fashion show, highlight richness of India’s arts and crafts

Surat (Gujarat) [India], February 25: An artisanal fashion show, organised by Craftroots and IDT Surat, mesmerised the audience with a unique blend of Indian craftsmanship and modern designs. The grand show took place at Athwa Party Plot in Surat on Monday, where designers from IDT showcased their exclusive creations through live modelling.

The show was presented in six distinctive themes, each highlighting different traditional Indian arts and crafts. The collections beautifully reflected India’s cultural diversity, rich handicraft traditions, and contemporary designs.

The primary objective of the show was to promote Indian handicrafts and traditional arts among the younger generation while providing a robust platform for artisans. It was an immersive and inclusive fashion event that showcased a unique confluence of culture and innovation.

Commenting on the event, Ankita Goyal, Director of IDT, said, “Events like these provide our students with the best learning experience. They are an invaluable opportunity to gain practical exposure and directly connect with the industry.”

The Craftroots Exhibition, known for supporting Indian handicrafts and traditions, was a grander event this year. As many as 92 artisans from 22 states presented more than 70 traditional crafts, showcasing the richness and diversity of Indian artistry.

Renowned stylist Nikki Deol led the choreography and styling of the show and transformed the event into a grand and memorable experience.

This magnificent fashion show deeply resonated with the audience, offering them an enriching experience of Indian art and culture, which was met with immense appreciation.
